The Voice 4 – Top 6 Results and Videos

Holly Tucker from Team Blake is Eliminated

Well. Holly Tucker went home. Surprise, surprise. NOT. Next week, it COULD be the Swons, but I wouldn’t be so sure. As the last men standing, they COULD end up in the finals. I think Amber Carrington and Sasha Allen are now vulnerable. But you never know. If I were Blake Shelton, I wouldn’t get too comfortable or assume that perceived front runner, Danielle Bradbery, is going to take it all. Usher is proving to be a tough competitor and his sole team member, Michelle Chamuel is full of wonderful surprises. I wouldn’t be shocked if she were the top vote getter this week. Danielle isn’t going to be able to coast into the finals. At any rate, if the final is a 3-way like last year, we could have a Swon BrothersDanielle BradberyMichelle Chamuel final, and if Michelle is amazing on that final night she COULD take it all.  I think the safe game Blake has been playing could come around to bite him in the butt…

One finalist will leave The Voice tonight. Plus, Season 3 winner, Cassadee Pope performs her new single,  “Wasting All These Tears.”

As always, the results show begins with a recap of last night’s performances. SING! More than half the artists on the country iTunes chart was made up of Team Blake.  Wow.

And here comes Cassadee Pope to perform her new “country” single “Wasting All These Tears.” Big Machine is seriously promoting this song at country radio? Really? REALLY?  It’s an OK Hot AC ballad though. She might do alright in the AC formats. But country? Hm. It’s number 1 on the iTunes country chart. Whatever.

Back from break. Adam is CONVINCED that his lone team member, Amber will be SAFE this week.  Today is Sasha’s birthday. It would suck so much if she was eliminated this week. Don’t think she will be, though. Blake is nervous that his family may finally be broken up. Count on it Blake!  He claims that iTunes chart positions don’t always tell the tale. Obviously, he’s talking about Holly’s very low iTunes sales.

Michelle Chamuel and Sasha Allen take the stage to perform Madonna’s “Open Your Heart.”  The girls wander into the pit. I hope they come back alive.  Nice harmonies, even with the aid of a backing track.

The Top 6 take center stage.  But before we get to the results, it’s time to play: “Carson asks the contestants stupid questions.”  And the first one is directed to Sasha. Some blah blah about her coach, whom Sasha says has been completely supportive.  Is this Miss America or The Voice?  And the first contestant AMERICA SAVED IS Michelle Chamuel. WELL DUH.

It’s Christina Milian interviewing Michelle and Cassadee in the SKYBOX. Cassadee was still nervous during her performance, even if she couldn’t be voted off.

Team Usher and Team Blake joined their mentors at last week’s Healing in the Heartland benefit.  In a video package, we see the contestants tour the devastation.  They opened the show with an a’cappella version of The Star Spangled banner. Team Usher and Team Blake performed. That must have happened pre-show, because it didn’t air on live TV. Starbucks raised over 1 million dollars. You can download Blake and Usher’s version of “Home” from iTunes. All proceeds will got to the relief effort.

Carson directs his next really dumb question to Amber. What did her coach, Adam teach her? To be confident in herself and let that shine! Just like Oprah! Heh.  And now, the next artist who AMERICA SAVED is Sasha Allen from Team Shakira! Hooray.

Holly Tucker and the Swon Brothers get together to sing “Leave the Pieces” by The Wreckers.  Ooh. It’s the most expendable members of the remaining 6 contestants joining forces to sing! Ha. This is actually a solid performance. It’s a good song, so there’s that.

More results! So Danielle! What would you like to say to your friends and family back home? She loves everybody soooo much! Even if she was at home, she’d STILL be trying to do something with her life!  I told you these questions were stupid. America SAVED from Team Blake….Danielle Bradbery! Of course.

Amber Carrington and Danielle Bradbery sing “Eternal Flame” by The Bangles. AND THE SWAYBOTS SWAY. This perforance is super stiff and awkward. The song doesn’t really suit either of them. They’re both kinda flat on their big notes, too. Not impressed.

The 3 remaining artists take the stage. HOLLY. She’s gained so much confidence on The Voice! She says to Carson before the ax falls.  And…AMERICA SAVED… Amber Carrington! So far, these results are super predictable.  Adam rushes to the stage to hug Amber. I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU he says as he holds her tight. And for sure…a member of Team Blake will be leaving The Voice! It’s about time.

The Swon Brothers thank the fans for voting for them, as they stand on the chopping block. Blake says everybody on his team worked their asses off to be here. He’s proud of them. America’s final save IS The Swon Brothers.   Totally predictable.
