The Voice 24 Playoffs continue with Team Reba and Team Gwen. Now it’s time to vote for your favorites
The Voice Playoffs Part 2 aired Monday (Nov 27) featuring Team Reba McEntire and Team Gwen Stefani. Once again, the respective coaches made difficult decisions, eliminating talented contestations as they whittled down their teams. (Read our Recap)
Reba had it a little easier than Gwen, as one of her team members, Tom Nitti, self-evicted for personal reasons undisclosed on the show. Tom was the soulful country singer who switched it up between Motown and Country tunes as he navigated the competition.
Reba wound up with an all-female team, regrettably letting the talented Americana singer, Noah Spencer go. However, the singers she did choose–Jordan Rainer, Jacquie Roar and Ruby Leigh are all steller! Reba has a talented team despite a coaching style that’s more hands off than the others.
Gwen advanced 19 year old Tanner Massey to the Top 12. His vocals aren’t quite there yet, but he has that Shawn Mendes vibe going in full force. He’ll be popular once fans begin voting next week. I prefered Lennon Vanderdoes‘ creative and unique vocals. But he probably would have been eliminated next week if he had advanced. Tanner could make the finals! But at least she brought Lennon back as a Super-Save, allowing fans to enjoy another lovely performance from him.
The Playoff conclude with Team John Legend
Tonight (Nov 28) Team John Legend will choose his three artists to move on to the Live Top 12 performances next week. Niall Horan made his decisions last week. Here’s how the lives will go: Top 12 will perform on Monday Dec 4, Top 9 unveiled on Tuesday with the 9th artist determined by Instant Vote. The semi-finals, beginning Dec 11, will whittle down the artists in the same manner to a Top 5. The two part finale on Dec 18 and 19 determines the winner!
