Three powerhouse reality television shows competed against each other last night. But it was The Voice premiere that came out on top. The season 19 opener earned a 1.2 rating in the key 18-49 demo and 8 million viewers. However, those numbers are down in the demo by 13 % compared to the spring premier and a whopping 30% from last fall.

Dancing with the Stars earned a 1.0 rating in the key demo and 6.1 million overall viewers. That’s up 1/0th of a point, from a 0.9 in the demo, compared to last week. A caveat: Football pre-emptions could cause a downward adjustment in this afternoon’s final update. UPDATE: DWTS adjusted downward 2/10ths of a point to 0.8 in the key demo and 5.75 million overall viewers, which actually means the show fell vs last week in the key demo.

Big Brother, now airing on Mondays because of football, held steady at a 1.0 in the demo with 3.67 million overall viewers.
