The Voice 19 Blind Auditions continue tonight (Oct 20) with more talent like Taryn Papa from Nashville. A new preview clip opens with her tearful mom watching on Zoom, so obviously an emotional backstory will be revealed tonight.
The singer belts out an emotional version of Martina McBride’s “Anyway” which prompts Blake Shelton to turn immediately. Thinking quickly, he blocks Kelly Clarkson before she has a chance to hit her button. Gwen Stefani turns as well. It takes Taryn to point out Kelly’s block for the coach to find out. Poor Kelly, John Legend blocked her last night. She seems to be the target this season.
As it turns out, Taryn performs at Blake’s Nashville club, Ole Red, so I think we see where this is going. Although, Gwen believes she still has a chance after Taryn revealed that she covered Gwen’s songs in her teenage band.
