Before the Battles begin airing on The Voice, let’s check out a preview from Team Nick Jonas. Joanna Serenko and Roderick Chambers perform an emotional and tender version of Billie Eilish’s “when the party’s over.”
“For real, that was my favorite battle so far,” gushes Kelly Clarkson. “That was effortless, and beautiful and passionate.” Blake Shelton notes that Joanna was a 4 chair turn, while Roderick only got one. Nevertheless, Blake says, “I’m a fan of both y’all.” But he would pick Roderick. John Legend calls the performance “beautiful,” but if he were to pick, he’d choose Joanna. Nick marvels at Roderick’s growth as they’ve worked together. “It was really an exhilarating experience for me.” He calls Joanna a “flawless singer,” and that “there’s so much to work with as a coach.”
During the Battles, the coaches will work with battle advisors to help their teams get ready. Nick Jonas will enlist the help of his brothers, Joe Jonas and Kevin Jonas. Kelly Clarkson will join forces with pop singer Dua Lipa. John Legend will bring UK R&B singer Ella Mai on board. And Blake Shelton will enlist the help of country music star and former The Voice digital Comeback Stage coach, Bebe Rexha.
Which singer will Nick choose? And will there be a steal? Fans will have to tune into The Battle Rounds, which will kick off on NBC Monday March 23 at 8pm IT/PT.
