John thinks America saw a lot of emotion last night…because DEDICATIONS. “You felt the power they brought to their performances.” Gwen says her girls are incredible. “They really inspired me today.” Kelly has been in these artist’s shoes! She tells her team “You have to pretend this is your final show.”

Results: The remaining 10 artists take the stage. Ricky’s girlfriend is in the audience. He appreciates her support so much. Results: The remaining 8 artists take the stage. Will says his time on The Voice wouldn’t be possible without his mom. He talks as if he expects to be in the bottom. Next, Team Kelly Clarkson and her team, Hello Sunday, Max Boyle, Jake Hoot and Shane Q perform the Cranberries’ “Linger.” What a weird mixture of voices!
Results: The FIVE remaining artists take the stage. Joana wants to give a huge shoutout to her family and friends, in particular the art school she attends in Miami. Max wants his niece and nephew to grow up to believe in themselves. America saved…Will Breman!!! America also saved…Shane Q. WHAT THE HECK.

Cali Wilson – The Chain by Fleetwood Mac – She starts off seeming defeated, but becomes more and more defiant as the performance progresses. Her voice cracks a bunch. She should have displayed that kind of fire last night. I’m not surprised she hit the bottom. I love her tone, but her performance last night was so laid back, it was snoozy. There was no way to make a mark with that performance. John loved the fire behind the song choice. Blake is sure his decisions were correct. Her performance proves she deserves to stay, he says.
Max Boyle – Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran – Hm. Like last night, he’s having some pitch problems. It’s a jittery performance. John calls him a gifted and tasteful singer. Kelly is SUPER SHOCKED. Take it as an opportunity, she says. PLEASE AMERICA VOTE MAX! She pleads.
Joana Martinez – Superwoman by Alicia Keys – Joana is back in her element tonight. She’s performing last and delivering a solid performance. She may have this. John loves her big powerful range. Gwen calls her performance mind blowing. “She is so fearless at her age,” says Gwen. “I am so honored to be your coach.”
Yep. Joana has this.
Cali tells Blake that being mentored by him was a dream. He helped her confidence. Max calls Kelly “so cool.” YOU’RE NOT LEAVING! Kelly yells. Bad news Kel. Yes he is. Joana thanks both Gwen and Blake for being awesome coaches. Blake implores Cali to stick with it. He promises she’s doing “what you were born to do.” Kelly says again, she’s shocked Max is in the bottom. She would die to do a duet with him. She invites him to perform with her at her upcoming Las Vegas residency! I bet she follows up on that! Gwen calls Joana “mind blowing.” and says “I need to get your autograph.” She considers Joana her and Blake’s “little girl.”
America INSTANTLY SAVED. Joana Martinez. Cali Wilson and Max Boyle are ELIMINATED.

Dang. Max Boyle was my favorite and he is no more. He oversang last night, but his performance had its moments. I’m scratching my head over Shane Q not landing in the Bottom 3. I wonder if Kelly’s big pep talk and freaking out cause OMG YOU KEPT YOUR EYES OPEN (whoopdee do) transformed him into an underdog. But I gotta say. Joana Martinez did what she had to do in that instant save. Her performance WAS the best of the three. Max should have performed a big emotional ballad. Don’t sing easy peasy pop songs when your LIFE is on the line…
