Who knows. – With hopes of being plucked from obscurity and transformed into the next Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Hudson or Adam Lambert, hundreds of anxious singers (some with their parents in tow) lined up before dawn Wednesday at Louisville’s Waterfront Park. ‘Voice’ star Chris Jamison joins on-air staff at Star 100.7 – Chris Jamison, who made it to the semi-finals of Season 7 of “The Voice,” has a new gig: He’ll join the on-air staff at 100.7 Star (100.7 FM). CBS Radio Pittsburgh announced Thursday that the North Hills High School graduate will do his first studio show from 5 to 10 a.m. on Monday (Labor Day) and will be heard from 3 to 9 p.m. on Sundays and holidays. During his run on “The Voice” in 2014, the Bubba Show staff on Star became hometown cheerleaders for the singer, who performed at events like the station’s annual ‘O Starry Night’ concert. Clay Aiken’s neighbor claims his clogged toilet flooded her apartment in $60G suit – The singer and failed congressional candidate is being sued for $60,000 after a toilet in his luxury Central Park North condo in Harlem clogged and leaked sewage into a unit owned by 39-year-old Elizabeth Rothstein, the suit says. Rothstein claims in papers filed in Manhattan Supreme Court that Aiken or a guest “misused the toilet” on Jan. 21, jamming it with “improper foreign materials and/or improper amounts of materials.” Rothstein, an attorney with the Social Security Administration office of the general counsel, says the 38-year-old pop star owes her damages because he “negligently operated and maintained” the commode. – Read more at NY Daily News

American Idol 11 alum Skylar Laine set for Socks for Heroes, Working Towards Dental School – “My fiancé is a part-time youth minister at Zion Hill Baptist Church and he’s also a lieutenant in the Army, so they decided to ask me to perform and I can’t wait,” Laine said. “I spend a lot of time in the Brookhaven and Wesson areas now. I love the area and I look forward to performing.” She is currently in school and working toward dental school. She wants to move her career forward in the medical field, but she still loves to perform in front of fans. “I still have so many people that supported me during American Idol. Jordin Sparks looks back 10 years after her ‘American Idol’ win – Ten years ago, Jordin Sparks captured the hearts and imagination of the public when she was crowned the winner on “American Idol.” She was 17, the youngest person to ever earn the title. She also was the first — and only — winner to come from Arizona. Looking back at that time of her life is “actually this really weird type of feeling,” says Sparks, calling from her home in Los Angeles. “It does feel like it was ages ago, but at the same time I feel like it was yesterday. In January 2016, he was chosen as a contestant on TV’s “American Idol.” He appeared in the show’s final season on Fox, and made it to the top 14. After his appearances on “American Idol,” his musical career held promise, with work on a record in Chicago. But a stubborn pain in his back required a trip to a hospital ER. American Idol finalist shares talent at music camp – Campers at Bucks Rock Performing & Creative Arts Camp heard Kimberley Locke, season 2 American Idol finalist, sing “Over the Rainbow “ when she came for an evening event on August 16. A Q&A before her song was scheduled and the campers, between the ages of 9-17, were able to ask her anything they wanted about her career or experience with Idol. “They really had the best questions I think I’ve ever been asked,” Locke said. – Read more at Register Citizen
