Team Christina Aguilera is the team to beat. Her diverse team represent a wide variety of genres including country, soul, pop, and singer/songwriter. Bryan, Tamar, Alisan and Ryan are ALL potential winners. How did all that goodness end up in one place? I don’t think the width and breadth of talent on her team is an accident. Pharrell declined to turn for Bryan. Adam literally handed Ryan, one of his best singers, to Christina on a silver platter. The mantra is “breaking the girl curse” and I think production would really really really like to see that happen. Blake’s Adam Wakefield or Adam’s Shalyah Fearing could keep Christina from the prize, but I have a feeling that pesky curse is finally going to be broken.
For the first time all season I don’t believe any eliminated contestant was “robbed.” The winners of each round deserved to advance. I’m not sure about Blake stealing Joe Maye. My hunch about him being a one-trick pony seems to be correct. Maybe Blake can help him with his pitch and reign in some of his impulses.
How about that Bryan Bautista? His Blind Audition deserved a turn, but since then he’s gotten better and better. A worthy contender, indeed. Caity Peters and Laith Al-Saadi were standouts as well.
Last but not least. Let’s say a prayer for triple-montaged Katherine Ho of Team Adam Levine. So sad we didn’t get the opportunity to know you or your voice.
