Piers Morgan is doubling down on his controversial remarks about Meghan Markle. Yesterday, after arguing with weather presenter Alex Beresford, and subsequently storming off the Good Morning Britain set, he and ITV agreed to part ways. Piers joined the show in 2015.
This morning (March 10) caught on camera, Piers insisted that he regrets nothing. “I believe in free speech,” he said, “I believe in the right to be allowed to have an opinion.”
Piers is still calling Meghan a liar.
“If people want to believe Meghan Markle, that’s entirely there right. I don’t believe almost anything that comes out of her mouth. I think the damage she’s done to the British monarchy, to the Queen, at a time when Prince Philip is lying in hospital, is enormous, and frankly contemptible.”
Piers hints that ITV fired him. “If I have to fall on my sword for expressing an honestly held opinion about Meghan Markle and that diatribe of bilge..so be it.”

Meghan Markle files a formal complaint with ITV
In the meantime, Meghan Markle filed a formal complaint with ITV about his on-air remarks regarding her mental health.
“Meghan’s complaint to ITV concerned the impact Morgan’s comments could have on others and how it could degrade the seriousness of mental health issues. The complaint did not relate to the personal nature of Morgan’s attacks,” CNN reported.
U.K. media regulator Ofcom launched an investigation after more than 41,000 people wrote in to complain.

Just wished we’d jigged in @ScarsdaleW8. Missed opportunity.” He couldn’t contain his excitement being in Lodong for a Suits press event. “Boom!” he tweeted.

Piers claims that the two had drink together. But after she “ghosted” him. Well…
Here he is telling the story. Piers can hardly contain his bitterness. “Two hours in the pub. She had a couple of dirty martinis, and a couple of pints. We got on brilliantly. And then I put her in a cab, and it turned out to be a cab that took her to a party where she met Prince Harry. And then the next night they had a solo dinner together and that’s the last I ever heard from Meghan Markle.” Piers adds, “She ghosted me! Meghan Markle ghosted me!”
“I really liked her,” admitted Piers. “This is why it hurts.”
