The Masked Singer 11: Who is Starfish? Listen to her Green Day Cover!

The Masked Singer season 11 returns to Group A this week. The four masks have not been seen since the premiere. So here’s a refresher: Ugly Sweater, Lovebird, Goldfish and Starfish will perform Wednesday night (April 10) hoping to secure a spot in the next round. FOX has released a preview of the Starfish performance, and the internets are convinced of the celebrity’s identity.

Fitting into a “Transformers” theme, Starfish covered Green Day’s classic song, “21 Guns.” It’s a good song choice, for Starfish, whose vocal abilities are somewhat limited. It’s certainly a better effort than her cover of Madonna’s “Material Girl” last time.

Is Starfish Kate Flannery from The Office and Dancing with the Stars?

As far as who is behind the mask? The internets are convinced that it’s Kate Flannery from the NBC hit comedy The Office. Why not? She competed on Dancing with the Stars with Pasha Pashkov in 2019. Certainly the comedic actress is game to compete on a wacky competitive reality show.

(ABC/Craig Sjodin) KATE FLANNERY, PASHA PASHKOV

Many of the clues from last time fit Kate’s profile. For instance, a four leaf clover on a beach sign points to Kate’s Irish heritage. The “PA’s Sunscreen” bottle points to Kate growing up in the Philadelphia, PA metro area. In the clues clip, Starfish talks about getting “the gig of a lifetime…one that would make my name known worldwide” which would be getting cast on the iconic, long running TV show, The Office.

Will Starfish be eliminated this week? She seemed in danger last time, until Book aka Kevin Hart ended the show with an incredibly terrible performance that was meant to prank Nick. But consider that this week is a double elimination, and the panel–Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy, Ken Jeong and Rita Ora–have already used their one save. Both Goldfish and Ugly Sweater can sing. So it’s likely that Starfish and Lovebird (who sang Phillip Phillips’ Home in a flat nasal tone on the premiere) are going home tonight. But who knows, because the “audience” determines the winner, there is often no rhyme or reason to the results!

Tune in to FOX on Wednesdays at 9 pm ET/PT to watch The Masked Singer.
