Next week on American Idol, with the stakes higher than ever, the finalists will perform three songs – one a judges’ pick, another Scott Borchetta’s pick and the third is each contestant’s pick as a tribute to his or her hometown. Basically, the same format as last season’s Top 3 performance episode.
Tune in Thursday, March 31 (8:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) to see the Top Four return to their hometowns for the iconic Idol homecoming, as well as which finalists make it to the finale. Also, IDOL judge Keith Urban will perform!
Thursday (March 24) on American Idol, the Top Four finalists were announced, including MacKenzie Bourg, Trent Harmon, Dalton Rapattoni and La’Porsha Renae. After America’s vote was revealed, Sonika Vaid was eliminated.
Planning for the contestant’s homecomings have been underway for weeks. One reason for me to be sad about Sonika’s elimination: If she had stayed, I would have had an opportunity to attend a THIRD Idol homecoming. And as the very last homecoming ever, it would have been special. Maybe Weston will do something for her anyway.
