A new episode of The Amazing Race airs tonight on CBS. Read a live recap here.
The race continues in Thailand. They must travel to the city of Nakhon Pathom and find Wat Suwannaram. Jocelyn & Victor are the first team to depart, and they are followed by Rob & Corey, Greg & John, Morgan & Lena, and Todd & Ashlie. Morgan & Lena won the Express Pass in the prior leg, and they are hoping to hold onto it for as long as possible.
The first task is a Roadblock. One team member must collect lotus bulbs to make bundles. Once completed, they will receive their next clue. Jocelyn does the Roadblock, and so does Rob. Meanwhile, Greg & John are lost after their taxi driver takes them to the wrong place. More teams arrive at the Roadblock. Ashlie and Lena do the Roadblock for their teams. Eventually, Greg & John arrive. Greg chooses to do the Roadblock.
Jocelyn struggles with the Roadblock. She can’t get the leaves wrapped around the bundles properly after several attempts, but she finally figures it out. She and Victor are the first to depart. Rob completes it soon afterwards too. Jocelyn & Victor read their next clue and learn they must proceed to Wat Rai Khing. Greg overhears the feedback from the teams in front of him, so he learns which mistakes to avoid. This allows Greg to complete the Roadblock before Ashlie and Lena. While they’re still there, Joel & Garrett and Steve & Anna Leigh arrive. Garrett and Steve choose to do the Roadblock. Meanwhile, Joe & Ian, Andrea & Malaina, and Robbin & Chelsea finally arrive at the Roadblock. Liam & Yeremi got lost and have fallen behind.
Jocelyn & Victor receive their next clue. They learn they have a Detour to complete: Stock Up or Scoop Up. Stock Up requires teams to go to a marketplace and find the items on a shopping list with a basket and handcart. Scoop Up requires teams to load a boat with pomelos and then unload them. Jocelyn & Victor choose Stock Up. Rob & Corey choose Scoop Up. Meanwhile, Lena, Steve, and Ashlie finished the Roadblock while Robbin and Malaina get started on the Roadblock. The rest of the teams arrive too.
We see Jocelyn & Victor and Rob & Corey complete their chosen Detours. They can now proceed to the Pit Stop: Suan Sampran. It’s a race for first place, but it’s Jocelyn & Victor who greet Phil first. Jocelyn & Victor are Team #1! They win $2,000 each. Rob & Corey arrive later as Team #2.
Greg & John get started on the Scoop Up Detour. Meanwhile, Garrett and Ian are the next two to complete the Roadblock. Joel & Garrett leave, but they leave behind their fanny pack. They realize their mistake while in their taxi, so they tell their driver to turn around. Meanwhile, Morgan & Lena join Greg & John at the Scoop Up Detour. Greg & John complete the task and can proceed to the Pit Stop.
Yeremi and Elizabeth are the next two to complete the Roadblock. Only Robbin and Malaina remain. While most teams are making their way to their chosen Detours, John & Greg arrive at the Pit Stop as Team #3. Malaina finally completes the Roadblock, currently putting Robbin & Chelsea in last place. Robbin finally completes it too though. Morgan & Lena also complete the Scoop Up Detour.
We see the rest of the teams working on their chosen Detour tasks. Todd & Ashlie, Elizabeth & Iliana, and Andrea & Malaina choose Stock Up. Steve & Anna Leigh, Joe & Ian, Liam & Yeremi, Joel & Garrett, and Robbin & Chelsea choose Scoop Up. All the teams manage to do their tasks without much difficulty. The teams that get started first have the advantage. After all the teams finish their chosen Detour tasks, Morgan & Lena greet Phil as Team #4. They are followed by Todd & Ashlie, Steve & Anna Leigh, Joe & Ian, Liam & Yeremi, Joel & Garrett, and Andrea & Malaina. Only Robbin & Chelsea and Elizabeth & Iliana are left. Which team will greet Phil last?
Robbin & Chelsea arrive at the Pit Stop as Team #11. Elizabeth & Iliana are the last team to arrive at the Pit Stop. Elizabeth & Iliana have been eliminated from the race. They would’ve loved winning the million dollars, but they’re just grateful for the experience.
