It’s that time of year again. NBC Sunday Night Football is just around the corner. The network has announced the ten players who will appear with Carrie Underwood in the opening. The American Idol season 4 winner and country superstar has been the face of SNF since 2013.
Last year, the singer replaced the old SNF theme, “Waiting All Day for Sunday Night,” with “Oh, Sunday Night,” a remake of her Miranda Lambert collaboration, “Somethin’s Bad.” Carrie worked with the “Somethin’ Bad” songwriters–Chris DeStefano, Brett James, and Priscilla Renea–to rewrite the lyrics
A sneak preview of the new show open – which debuts Sept. 10 as the New York Giants visit the Dallas Cowboys in the season-opening SNF game – will air during the 49ers-Vikings NFL preseason game Sunday, Aug. 27 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
Ten NFL players, who have accounted for 30 Pro Bowl selections, four Super Bowl rings, and six first-round draft picks, participated in the open shoot at Universal Studios Hollywood in June. Following is the complete list of the players:
