Michael Douglas, Matt Damon, Tom Hanks, Julia Roberts, Gwyneth Paltrow, Sofia Vergara, Justin Timberlake and Robert Pattinson were a few of the stars who appeared Friday on the third Stand Up to Cancer telethon.
Performances from Alicia Keys (“Not Even the King”), Coldplay (“Paradise”) and Tim McGraw (He closed the show with “Live Like You Were Dying.”) were interspersed with heart tugging stories from a spectrum of people fighting and surviving cancer. The kids’ stories were especially poignant.
On that note, the most talked about and emotional moment of the night came from Taylor Swift, who debuted a song titled “Ronan” that she wrote with the mom of a 4 year old boy who succumbed to the disease.
