Ok. I’ll admit it. This new song, “What Makes You Beautiful” from Simon Cowell’s X Factor UK protege boy band, One Direction, is hella catchy in that Hot Chelle Rae sort of way. I wouldn’t punch this tune off if it came on my car radio.

Simon Cowell has been hinting for months that Mariah Carey would appear on X Factor US in some capacity. Today, Deadline reports that the pop diva is in negotiations to appear as a mentor.
Another fun earnings list from Forbes Magazine. Today we have the top earning TV hosts. Simon Cowell comes in 2nd, with No. 4, Ryan Seacrest gaining on his ex-coworker (Ryan’s earnings are up 20% this year).
Oprah, in 1st place, earns over 3 times more than Simon does.

Simon Cowell asked FOX to reschedule the World Series?
That’s what The Wall Street Journal reports in a new and in-depth article on the man we love to hate. Afraid that the series would interfere with the X Factor rollout, Simon asked network executives if they might reschedule.
“I asked them if they would change it by a couple of days, ” he admits. Executives at Fox Broadcasting, which will air both, said no.
Unless the Mirror is making up these quotes (and hey, they could be, ’cause that’s what British tabs do) Simon Cowell is finally speaking out on the Cheryl Cole debacle. Although Simon thought Cheryl would be happy to move back to the UK show, he reportedly chickened out of telling her in person. He sent X Factor’s executive producer Richard Holloway to deliver the bad news instead.
Jeebus WTF. I can’t wait until I can stop wasting posts on somebody nobody cares about. You Brits may not be able to get enough of Cheryl Cole. But here in the US. We Con’t Care. We Don’t Care. We Don’t Care.
The latest in the DRAMA? After more back and forth wrangling between camps, Cheryl is reportedly off X Factor for good. And she will be paid. Via THR:
