It’s official. Simon Cowell’s boy band, One Direction will bow on the Billboard 200 tomorrow at #1, selling 176k copies of their debut album, Up All Night, according to Nielsen Soundscan.

The Simon Cowell-created boy band, One Direction is taking the US by storm, or so it seems by the crowd that jammed Rockefeller center this morning for a Today Show concert. The news show reports that 1D broke a record–the concert was bigger than those by Justin Beiber and Lady Gaga.

If you haven’t heard of them, here’s your chance to check them out. Or, if you’ve got tween daughters, you might want to point them in 1D’s general direction. That’s the band’s target audience.
