A new episode of Survivor 44 airs tonight on CBS. Read a live recap here.

The tribe returns to camp after tribal council. Carolyn is upset Carson and Yam Yam left her out of the vote. She vents her frustration, and Yam Yam and Carson are unhappy she’s having this reaction in front of everyone. Yam Yam walks away and says he cannot talk to her right now. Carolyn feels very betrayed and doesn’t think she can trust anyone. Meanwhile, Danny wants to know who voted for him. He doesn’t know it was Heidi. Heidi thought Danny was going to be voted out, so she’s surprised Danny is still there. She denies voting for Danny, as does everyone else. Heidi suggests maybe Frannie voted for him.

The next morning, Carolyn makes amends with Yam Yam and Carson. She says she can separate personal relationships from the game, and she claims to be over it. They plan to be in the Final 3 together. They are the last members of the Tika tribe, and Carson is confident they will continue to run the game. Yam Yam asks Carolyn if she has the Tika idol, but Carolyn lies and says she doesn’t have it. Carolyn still hasn’t told anyone she found the birdcage immunity idol. Later, Yam Yam reveals to Danny that Heidi voted for him. Danny talks to Heidi later. Heidi denies it, and Danny believes that Yam Yam lied to him. He thinks Yam Yam voted for him to frame Heidi, so now Danny wants to target a former Tika member at the next vote.

Yam Yam and Carolyn talk game. Carolyn says Danny and Lauren are the big threats left in the game. Yam Yam says they should target Lauren, and he believes Danny can be persuaded to vote for her. Meanwhile, Lauren and Danny agree they need to target a Tika member at the next vote. Danny discusses this plan with Heidi and Jaime at the well. Jaime agrees Tika is super tight and will go to the end together. They agree to vote for Yam Yam at the next tribal council. Jaime says the #1 goal is to split up the three former Tika members.

It’s time for the immunity challenge. The castaways will be in the water and underneath a steel barrier. As the tide rises, their breathing room decreases. The last one remaining will win immunity. The challenge begins. After an hour, Lauren drops out of the challenge. Jaime is the next one out of the challenge. Carson is the third person to drop out of the challenge. Carolyn drops out next, and she’s followed by Danny. Only Heidi and Yam Yam remain in the challenge. Heidi drops out. Yam Yam wins immunity!

The tribe returns to camp. This vote is very important for the former Tika tribe members. If Carolyn, Carson, and Yam Yam survive the vote, then they will have a majority. However, Danny wants to target Carson tonight. He comes up with a fake plan for the Tika 3. He tells them to split the vote between Jaime and Lauren. Carolyn is suspicious of Danny’s plan; she believes they’re planning to blindside Carson tonight. Carolyn gives Carson a heads up he could be the target. Carson approaches Lauren and Jaime about voting out Danny or Heidi tonight. Afterwards, Lauren admits to Jaime she trusts Carson more than Danny. Jaime says it would be a bad idea to give the Tika members the majority. Jaime and Lauren think they are the swing votes tonight. Before tribal council, Carolyn tells Yam Yam that Carson could be voted out tonight, but she tells him they have to vote for Danny tonight no matter what. Carolyn later reveals to Carson she found the hidden immunity idol. He’s the first and only person she’s told. Carolyn wants to play the idol for Carson, but she’s worried Danny could end up playing an idol for himself after she plays hers. Carolyn doesn’t know what to do, but she wants Carson in the game and Danny to be voted out.

It’s time for tribal council. Jeff asks about how plans come together at the vote. Jaime says it’s different every time. They just have to find people who have the same target. Danny points out how everyone’s names have been mentioned. They need to take risks and not say “would’ve, could’ve, should’ve.” Yam Yam admits the game is exhausting, but exciting. Carolyn agrees and says she loses sleep since she keeps going through different plans. Danny thinks they all have their own routines in the game, but Carolyn thinks they have rest days and scrambling days. Lauren makes a remark about emotion vs. experience, and Carolyn asks for clarification. She becomes annoyed when Danny is dismissive of her question, and Jeff notices how annoyed Carolyn is. The talk turns to the vote, and Yam Yam thinks someone he doesn’t want to leave could be leaving. Jaime is solid with the agreed upon goal for tonight’s plan. Danny feels good too. Carson is grateful to be in the game. He says being on Survivor has taught him to accept his quirks. Jeff asks Carolyn if she feels good about tonight’s vote, and she admits she is not comfortable about the vote. She’s nervous since she’s putting her trust in people that did not vote her with her last time. Afterwards, it’s time for the vote.

Before Jeff reads the votes, Carolyn plays her hidden immunity idol for Carson.

Jeff reads the votes. The first vote is for…
