Tech visionary and Apple founder, Steve Jobs died today at 56 of pancreatic cancer, which he astonishingly, had battled for 8 years. You can read more about Jobs remarkable life and career at CNN.
Even the non-apple techies amongst us could not escape Jobs’ amazing reach. I’ll think about him every time I download a new song from iTunes or pick up my iPhone.
The Apple website has changed their front page to a photo of jobs with his date of birth and death. They’ve also posted a statement:
Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world has lost an amazing human being. Those of us who have been fortunate enough to know and work with Steve have lost a dear friend and an inspiring mentor. Steve leaves behind a company that only he could have built, and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple
