So, the judges weren’t willing to sacrifice Robert for gender parity. It was either Cristina or Melinda going home. And, I’m with a lot of you peeps, between the two, it should have been Melinda. Nevermind her weak solo–her routine last night as “Mother Earth” with Ade was really overpraised by the judges last night.

And Nigel thought so too. He voted to eliminate Melinda while Adam and Mia got behind her–choosing to eliminate Cristina instead.

Keep voting the girls into the B3 peeps! That’s the less you’ll see of your favorite male all-stars! Take that.

The first 3 contestants take the stage… Kent is first. And he’s safe. AdeChike and Cristina are next. Adechike is safe Cristina is in danger. Adam is shocked. He also wants everyone to know that NOBODY is above criticism. (Think some peeps were upset when they dissed Travis Walls’ choreo last night.)

Ugh. I bet the bottom 3 is all girls again.

Back from break. Alex is next. He’s safe. Jose is next. He’s safe. Because he has a penis. Ashley and Melinda are next. Melinda is in the Bottom 3. Nigel’s not sure what America is thinking, but something is missing, because this is the second week. A penis would help, actually.

Lauren, Billy and Robert are left. Lauren is first. And she is safe. Robert is in the B3. Billy is safe. Mia is shocked. “You are by far one of our favorite performers. We don’t want to lose you.”

So, will they decide to cut Robert for the sake of gender parity? Or do we lose another girl?

Next, the 3 dancers in danger perform their solos. Cristina is first (“Quimbara” by Celia Cruz & Johnny Pacheo), then Melinda (“Heels” by Q-Tip) taps for her life. – VIDEO

After the break, Robert dances for his life (“Everywhere I Go” by Lissie). The judges go back stage to make their decision. – VIDEO

Debbie Nova takes the stage with 6 of the All-stars–Ade, Courtney, Neil, Comfort, Lauren and Mark–to perform her single. Wow. Never heard of her, and she gets confetti! – VIDEO

Results! It is not unanimous. Robert. Uh oh. Nigel is giving Robert another chance. Says it would have been easy to send him home to even out boys vs. girls. Nigel wanted to send Melinda home, but Adam and Mia didn’t! So, Cristina is going home. Nigel gives her words of encouragement. He wished her love and says he respects what she does. She tries not to cry.

So that’s 6 boys and 3 girls. Sausage fest! Just like Idol
