Ahead of tonight’s first LIVE So You Think You Can Dance performance show, check out video interviews with the Top 20. The pairings here are random. THEY ARE NOT THE PAIRINGS FOR TONIGHT’S SHOW. Believe me, if the contestant pairings leak today, I’ll be putting up a separate post STAT!
Here’s a little spoiler in the meantime: Mitchell Kelly, a 20-year-old contemporary dancer from Chicago, will not be able to perform tonight because he popped his shoulder. Season 7’s Robert Roldan will step in to dance with Mitchell’s yet-to-be-named partner.
What will happen to Mitchell? “He goes into the bottom four boys, probably, and depending on what we see and what we decide he may go home. But he has got to dance the following week otherwise he goes home anyway, ” explained Nigel.
In other SYTYCD news, Lady Gaga will not only be a guest judge at some point this season, but she will also debut her “Edge of Glory” music video on tomorrow’s results show.
Also on tap to guest judges: Ellen DeGeneres, Neil Patrick Harris and Kristin Chenoweth. Megan Mullally will be on the panel tonight.
