Headlines: Petitioners Want Adam Lambert Off Countdown, Kim Caldwell Baby Update

Petition to get Adam Lambert out of countdown – SINGAPORE — A petition has been launched online for MediaCorp to remove singer-songwriter Adam Lambert from its star-studded show to usher in the new year. The petition was started yesterday (Nov 25). As of time of writing, it has garnered more than 7,400 signatures. It describes the American singer, who is known for his provocative stage performances, as “a performer fraught with controversy even in his home country”. Citing Lambert’s controversial performance during the American Music Awards in 2009, the organisers of the petition said: “Adam Lambert is hardly the kind of performer to send off our historic Jubilee Year or to usher in the New Year. His track record displays a flagrant disregard for the sensitivities of his audience — including whether or not children are watching.” – Read more at TodayOnline

‘The Voice”s Mark Hood Talks Final Performance and Growing Up in Chicago – “It was the best experience of my life. I’m so grateful. The whole experience was amazing,” he said. – Read more at DNAInfo.com

Kimberly Caldwell on New Motherhood: ‘It’s the Greatest Challenge’ – “I feel like everybody sugarcoats it because they don’t want to sound ungrateful,” the singer, 33, tells PEOPLE. “We just couldn’t be happier, but at the same time, it really is a challenge. But it’s the greatest challenge and we’re up for it!” In the last few weeks, the couple’s daughter Harlow Monroe has already gained over a pound (“We’re so proud!” says Caldwell) and attended her first soccer game (“She was the best baby ever,” she adds). – Read more at People.com

Dancing’s Derek Hough: It Was the Perfect Ending to a Perfect Season – I might be biased, but I think Bindi is one of the greatest contestants the show has ever had — and not just talent-wise. She’s such a tremendous soul and just a wonderful human being. I am not exaggerating when I say I have never met anyone like her before. She’s just special. I’m 13 years older than her, but she’s taught me so much about life, love, grace and joy. Her joy and spirit are contagious. I wish everyone can be around her for a few seconds to feel it. It was an honor to be able to be her partner and to teach her to dance. – Read more at TV Guide
