Simon Cowell TV Guide Interview: Ià ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢d like to see them all fighting, screaming, hating each other

I got some pretty interesting soundbites here from an interview Simon Cowell did with TV Guide.

Check it out HERE.

Simon would LOVE to put hidden cameras in the Idols’ living quarters to air on the show.   It really irks him that the contestants like and try to help each other.   He wants some bitch slappin’ and the fur to fly. Heh.     Unsurprisingly,   we haven’t seen more of the kids hanging out in the mansion, because there hasn’t been time.   Uh, that’s why they stopped renting a mansion for the kids in the first place. Duh.

Also, Simon doesn’t seem opposed to throwing new judge Kara DioGuardi under the bus if necessary, though he’d fight to the end for Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson.   If the save were available in prior seasons, Simon would have used it on Tamyra Gray, “More so than Daughtry or Jennifer Hudson, ” he says.

Simon addresses the rumors swirling around Adam Lambert’s sexuality.   He’s impressed that Adam remains unfazed by it all and thinks Adam’s presence is a “huge step forward for the show.”

Adam is the only contestant who has made his songs his own, says Simon, “That why I was so frustrated with Danny [Gokey] when he did …Endless Love with a harp. Come on! This song is 25, 30 years old, and a lot happened in 30 years. At least pretend to do something different to it, rather than schmaltzing it up.”

In this shorter version of the interview, Simon admits there is a possiblity Kris Allen could take 3rd place, “But seven weeks ago, nobody would have predicted the possibility that the third place is Kris. He just quietly got on with the job.”

Simon is already on record, predicting an Adam Lambert/Danny Gokey final two…
