It’s official. Simon Cowell has signed X Factor UK runner-up Grace Davies to his SYCO record label.
From The Sun:
An X Factor source said: “Grace’s talent shone through on X Factor – not only as a singer but as an excellent songwriter in her own right.
“Everyone is really excited about what she is going to be doing next.
“There is a genuine buzz around her and Syco weren’t going to let anyone else get the chance to sign her.”
Last night a spokesman for Cowell said: “We can confirm that Grace will be signing to Syco Music.”
Grace distinguished herself week after week on the show as not only a great singer, but a talented songwriter as well.
The singer confirmed the news on twitter:
So excited to FINALLY officially announce that I have been signed by @syco – my dream ???
So excited for what is to come and I’m working chuffing hard on that album! ?https://t.co/A3gokWfMYC

Grace will join her fellow X Factor alums, Camila Cabello, James Arthur, Little Mix and Louis Tomlinson. And of course, winners Rak-Su were signed by Simon immediately after they won the show. The group scored a No. 2 last month on the UK charts with their winner’s song Dimelo.
X Factor UK ratings from the recent series paled in comparison to what they were back in the show’s heyday when superstar alums One Direction were burning up the charts. ITV has renewed the show for 2019. But if ever Simon could use a break out act from the series? That time would be now.
