Oprah Winfrey sat down with Simon Cowell recently to talk about American Idol, his relationships, his past, and what lies in the future as Simon closes the book on a major chapter in his life.
Simon says he had a great run, met some nice people and expects Wednesday to be emotional. He also said he spotted Carrie Underwood and Fantasia as stored the minute he laid eyes on them.
Also, he thinks Paula Abdul leaving Idol hurt the show, and that he realizes the show became too much about the judges rather than the contests.
