Simon Cowell reportedly dumped Lauren Silverman before he knew she was pregnant. From the Daily Mail:
The 53-year-old music mogul is said to have ended his romance with the 36-year-old socialite – the wife of his close friend Andrew Silverman – six weeks ago, only to later discover she is expecting his baby.
He is said to have told a friend: ‘It’s over with Lauren – it has been since before anyone knew she was pregnant. I want matters resolved but in a sensitive way. I have to respect a lot of people’s feelings. There’s a lot of people’s feelings here.’
The source added to the Sunday Mirror newspaper: ‘Simon feels like he’s been done up like a kipper in all of this.
‘He and Lauren split up six weeks ago but the next thing we know he gets a phone call from her saying, ‘Guess what?’ Since then he has been feeling very confused about everything.’
Confused? I guess so! According to the reports, Lauren mum is calling for Simon to “do the right thing” by her daughter. Put a ring on it, Simon! As if.
But no worries, if this report is true. Simon will reportedly pay out £63 million in child support.
And according to the New York Post, Lauren had a timing issue. She couldn’t announce her affair before her 10 year wedding anniversary.
Simon Cowell’s baby mama was eyeing two due dates — one for the birth and another for her prenup payday.
Lauren Silverman had to patiently wait to make their steamy love affair public, sources told The Post, so her prenup could kick in.
She could get $3 million to $4 million from the prenup with Manhattan real-estate developer Andrew Silverman, but the couple had to be married a decade for the agreement to take effect, friends said.
Now that the 10-year deadline has passed, Lauren, pregnant with Cowell’s child, feels free to end her bitter union with Silverman.
Simon is reportedly jetting off with his “harem,” (BARF) ex-girlfriend and pop star, Sinitta, and even possibly his former fiancee Mezghan Hussainy. He plans to cruise Europe for a month on board the Slipstream yacht–the same boat that photos of Simon canoodling his baby mama were shot.
