It’s become a tradition–the Top 10 Idols ring the Nasdaq closing bell on Wall Street at some point while in New York for the Idol tour.
The ceremony typically goes on and on and on, usually in the most random and surreal way.
This year was no exception.
Megan Joy was the designated spokesperson (for some reason). After a few thank you remarks, the Idols stood around awkwardly, posing for pictures to be flashed on the giant jumbotron outside in Times Square (the goofy poses they were striking were pretty lulzworthy) while waiting for the markets to close at 4 pm.
Eventually, some family members joined the group, and then the countdown to closing began, to some funky muzak. The magic hour arrived, the bell rang, and Whoo Hoo! It was over.
It’s 9 plus minutes of pretty much…nothing. Enjoy!
