So, this happened. During his Forever Charlie Tour stop at the PNC Arena in Raleigh, NC on 2/18/15 legendary R&B singer, Charlie Wilson, brought American Idol Season 10 winner Scotty McCreery on stage to sing “Charlie, Last Name, Wilson” with him. “Of course, the crowd goes crazy,” notes the description on the Youtube video.
Scotty is out of his element, but game for getting on his groove. Along with hand gestures and his country twang, comes these lyrics. “My name is Scotty, last name McCreery, and was wonderin’ if I could take you out, Show you a good time, invite you to my house, Here is my number, girl you can call me. And don’t forget it baby, the name is Scotty.”
So funny!
ETA: So, apparently, Scotty is a Charlie Wilson fan, and sharing the stage was a “dream come true” of sorts. STILL REALLY FUNNY THO.
