Scotty McCreery Armed Robbery – New Details Emerge

New details have emerged regarding the armed robbery of Scotty McCreery that took place at  a friend’s apartment last month.

The armed men, accused of robbing Scotty and his friends on May 5 near North Carolina University, forced them into a closet and told them to count to 100. This, according to a search warrant made public today.

Mikkail Jamal Shaw and two other men allegedly forced their way inside the apartment, stealing wallets, cellphones, money and a laptop from the group before fleeing on foot.

The search warrants, issued May 8 for Shaw’s iPhone and 2002 Mercedes Benz, reveal that the men knocked on the door and then pushed their way in, armed with two pistols and an AK-47.

After forensic evidence at the apartment identified Shaw as one of the robbers, he surrendered to police later that night.  He was staying with his grandfather less than four blocks from the apartment.

Shaw is charged with four counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon and one count of conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.
