NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” has added six featured players, Beck Bennett, John Milhiser, Kyle Mooney, Mike O’Brien, Noël Wells and Brooks Wheelan to the cast.
With 3 major cast members departing last season–Bill Hader, Jason Sudeikis and Fred Armisen–the long running sketch comedy needed an infusion of fresh talent.
The most familiar of the new faces would be Beck Bennett who stars in those adorable AT&T “It’s Not Complicated” commercials.
It turns out the spots are very similar to his web series that stars kids sharing a “fresh perspective” on the news. These kids are pretty hilarious.

Starting with the Sept. 28 season opener, Seth Meyers will be joined by Cecily Strong on the “Weekend Update” news desk, producer Lorne Michaels told The New York Times. (Seth is set to leave the show to replace SNL alum Jimmy Fallon as the new host of Late Night in February).
