Pentatonix continues with another week in the top 10 on the sales and combined chart. “A Pentatonix Christmas” is 6th on both (4 and 3 last week). Pentatonix also sees sales of their previous Christmas album “That’s Christmas to Me” surge back onto the sales chart at 38th. Joining the Christmas album club is The Voice’s Jordan Smith. This is the second album he has released post-show and his “‘Tis the Season” opens the door at 45th in sales.
This week was the CMAs so we are seeing lots of Country albums have a good week. Carrie Underwood’s “Storyteller” is up to 27th in sales and 29th on combined. She also appears on Keith Urban’s “Ripcord” which is 15th and 16th. Other notables on the chart are Lauren Daigle at 37th on combined and Fifth Harmony on Now 59 at 37th in sales.
Kenny Chesney will have the top album of the week with Brett Eldridge at 10th so Country debuts can bookend the top 10. Keeping it loud are heavy metallers Avenged Sevenfold at 2nd and thrash meatless Testament Brotherhood at 9th. Hip Hop debuts at 3rd (Jeezy Trap), and 5th (Meek Mill) while Sweden represents at 8th with Tove Lo. Drake tops the streaming charts.
