Sales News – Week Ending 10/22/15

Well, Q3 is here so we are starting and so this weekend is going to be a home-run derby. Three big songs were dropped for this week and the charts are loving it. “Hello”, “Sorry” and “Home” at the top of the pack this morning from Adele, Justin Bieber and One Direction respectively. Justin and 1D are dropping albums on Nov 13th with Adele following a week after.

Okay, the album sales chart isn’t breaking any records this weekend, but Pentatonic will lead it with a very respectable 80kish in sales. They’ll have to share the top of the album charts with former X-Factor judge Demi Lovato who has stronger singles so she will top the combined chart. This is Pentatonix first non-Christmas album for a major album and they have also dropped an original song as a debut singlle.

The top 5 this week are all debuts – Pentatonix (a cappella group from The Sing-Off), Demi Lovato (pop and former judge of the X-Factor), Machine Gun Kelly (rap), The game (rap) and Kidz Bop (kidz music). Hillsong Worship, a superstar organization amongst the Christian genre, debut in 9th.
