X-Factor US’s Fifth Harmony released their “7/27” album (the name is a nod to the date they were created on X-Factor) last week and it is currently the number 2 seller for the week. Country star Dierks Bentley currently has the best selling album, but expect Drake to top the BB200 for a fifth week. Beyonce is also likely to rise based on streams.
Last week, Voice coach Blake Shelton held the top spot in sales, but he drops to 4th this week. Drake is at 5th, but he owns the streaming charts (just passed 1B streams for “Views”). Kevin Gates (Hip Hop) is debuting at 6th, Flume (Australian Electronica/Trip Hop) is debuting 7th and Ariana Grande slides to 8th. Adele and Prince remain in the top 10.
Carrie Underwood is the only other solo reality singer competitor in the top 50 with her “Storyteller” album at 39th. She also appears on Idol judge Keith Urban’s album. Kelly Clarkson and Zayn are on the latest Now album (NOW 58) at 15th.
Billboard reports that Pentatonix is on the upcoming “Ghostbusters” soundtrack. That album will have a lot of current acts including Elle King, G-Eazy and 5 Seconds of Summer.
