Congratulations to American Idol season 14 singer Rayvon Owen, who got engaged to boyfriend Shane Bitney Crone Friday night in the most epic way possible.
The big moment took place onstage at the Demi Lovato concert at the Forum in Los Angeles! As it turns out the singer is a friend of Shane, and by extension, Rayvon as well. Here’s how Demi helped her friends get engaged.
After inviting Rayvon on stage, Shane then entered through a trapdoor that rose from under the stage. Rayvon was freaked out! But then even MORE freaked out when Shane got down on one knee, taking Rayvon’s hand, and proposing in front of the entire audience.

Demi shed a few tears, before running across the stage to give her pals a big congratulatory hug.
“Something you don’t know is that these are two of my really close friends. I’ve gotten to watch Shane go through so much and come out on the other side. Such a strong person who has now found the love of his life,” she said. “Now I’m going to sing you a song while I cry!”
“I’m so happy guys.I’m so f**king happy!” she gushed, before performing her song, “Yes,” while the couple sat on stage watching a video clip detailing their their love story. Aw.

Afterward, Rayvon posted on Twitter, “I’m still in tears,” he said, “Last night was hands down the happiest night of my life. I am beyond excited and honored to spend the rest of my life with you, @ShaneBitney. thank you @ddlovato for giving us this extremely special moment.”

And Shane tweeted a reply, “I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you, and I am beyond thrilled to officially call you my fiancé!” He went on to thank all the folks, including Demi, who made the surprise proposal possible. “It was one of the greatest moments of my life. Love wins!” Shane said.
