Queen will debut a part of their VR concert film titled VR The Champions during the closing weekend of the New York City film festival, Tribeca, organizers announced Friday morning.
The 3D VR film features American Idol season 8 singer Adam Lambert and was shot in front of an audience of 15,000 fans live in Barcelona Spain last May.
The production used a four-point wire to enable the camera to capture the band’s performance in an immersive way. Three songs will be previewed at the Tribeca Virtual Arcade at World Trade Center: “Radio Gaga,” “We Will Rock You,” and “We Are the Champions.”
Tribeca Enterprises teamed with Westfield World Trade Center in an effort to bring the virtual reality experience to a larger audience.
The Tribeca Film Festival will run April 19-30.
