Phillip Phillips The World From The Side of the Moon Debuts at #4 BB, 169K

“American Idol” winner Phillip Phillips sees his debut album “The World From the Side of the Moon” start at No. 4 with 169,000. The 2011 champ, Scotty McCreery, entered at No. 1 in October of that year with his first album, “Clear as Day.” It bowed with a more robust figure — 197,000.

At #1 is Rihanna’s Unapologetic which opens at No. 1 with 238K sold, followed by Taylor Swift’s Red with 185K sold and #3 is One Directions’s Take Me Home with 176K sold.

On the Digital Songs Chart, The Voice contestant Cassadee Pope lands at #3 with “Over You” with 152K. Phillip Phillips’ “Home” scales 9-6 with 131K sales, up 27% from last week.
