James Corden couldn’t allow a visit from Paula Abdul to his CBS Late Late Show go by without asking if she’d recreate the music video for her massive 1989 pop hit “Opposites Attract.” James plays MC Skat Kat, the cartoon figure, come to life. And it’s really…something. In costume, he’s like a singing and dancing furry (look that one up on the internet. Or maybe don’t…). Am I the only one who found the concept of the original video a little weird?
Paula has to work harder on her lip-syncing skills But it doesn’t matter, because James’ dance moves kinda steal the show. It’s hard to look away! Later, she said James learned his steps quicker than some of the dancers she choreographs.
Paula came back later to promote her stint as judge on the current season of So You Think You Can Dance.
