Numbers Thread – 11/13/18

Today’s thread is brought to you by the numbers 1 and 2.

Ariana Grande obtains her first number one on the Hot 100 with the debut of “Thank U Next”. It is also the best selling and most streamed song of the week. “Thank You, Next” becomes the 32nd song to debut at number one – a list which includes Clay Aiken’s “This is the Night”, Fantasia’s “I Believe”, Carrie Underwood’s “Inside Your Heaven”, Taylor Hicks’s “Do I Make You Proud”, and Zayn’s “Pillowtalk”.

Maroon 5 may have had to give up the top of the chart, but their “Girls Like You” tops the radio airplay chart for another week moving into a three-way tie as the second longest at the top of the chart (16 weeks – tied with Mariah’s “We Belong Together” and No Debuts “Don’t Speak”).
