Numbers Thread – 08/28/18

Today’s thread is brought to you by the number 11.

Two weeks later and nothing much has changed. Drake’s “In My Feelings” is still number one on the Hot 100 chart for the 7th week. This means that Drake has topped the Hot 100 chart for 26 weeks. The year isn’t even over and he’s dominated the Hot 100 for half a year. The guy is a streaming monster. He ties the Black Eyed Peas (with “Boom Boom Pow” and “I Gotta Feeling” who dominated the chart for 26 weeks in 2009 and if he can top the chart for 2 more weeks in 2018, he’ll tie Usher for the most number of weeks on top of the Hot 100 in a calendar year.

Ariana Grande has two songs in the Hot 100 and the top album on the BB200. Her “Sweetener” opens with 231K in equivalent albums and 127K in traditional album sales.
