Noah Galloway Engagement Ends After Live DWTS Proposal

Remember that big romantic proposal from war veteran, Noah Galloway to his fiance, Jamie Boyd on Dancing with the Stars last spring? After five months, the engagement has been called off. Noah made the announcement via Instagram on Monday (October 26)

“After long and careful consideration we’ve decided to end our engagement. We love each other deeply and we’re confident we will remain friends,” Noah captioned a photo of the two. “While we wanted to share this you, we appreciate the respect of our privacy at this time.”

Jamie also posted a message on her Instagram that said, “We can’t thank you enough for all your unwavering love and support. It has meant, and means, so much to us so we wanted to share this with you firsthand. This is a very difficult time and we appreciate y’all for respecting our privacy as we go through this.”

Noah proposed to the Army Reserves specialist after a romantic waltz with his pro partner,  Sharna Burgess, to the David Cook song, “Time of My  Life.”  They pair finished season 20 in 3rd place. Noah lost  his two left limbs in 2005 from a bomb blast in Iraq.

The big public proposal definitely has its drawbacks–particularly when the engagement does not last.
