Hardee har har! It was just a prank! The Masked Singer host Nick Cannon is not starring in a new game show where he was supposedly set to pick a contestant to have his next baby. The “announcement” of an outrageous new game show was the first prank from Celebrity Prank Wars, a new show he’s producing with comedian Kevin Hart.

Nick posted an “announcement” on Instagram captioned “We’re expecting…a new show on E! #WhosHavingMyBaby premieres this Spring on @eentertainment! @kevinhart4real”

In the clip, female contestants vye to have Nick Cannon’s next baby. The joke is that Nick is already father to 12 kids and counting and HEY WHY NOT USE A GAME SHOW TO FIND THE NEXT LUCKY MAMA. Generally Nick is good natured about jokes that poke fun at him presiding over what is seemingly a polygamous brood of mamas and their babies.

People actually fell for for the stunt, going by the slew of very angry comments alongside Nick’s clip.

Anyway! Kevin Hart and Nick Cannon will take their famous friendly feud to the next level with the E! cable network’s HILARIOUS new competition series Celebrity Prank Wars, premiering Thursday, April 6 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

According to the press release, “It’s an all-out war as one celebrity pranks another, and the payback begins.” Each episode will feature celebrities planning and perpetrating some of the “wildest and most viral pranks on each other,” as hosts Nick Cannon and Kevin Hart choose one winner of the Prank War.

Celebrity participants include: American Idol season 3 winner Fantasia, The Voice coach Chance the Rapper, The Masked Singer coach Robin Thicke, and winner T. Pain, along with Anthony Anderson, Brie Bella, Nikki Bella, Lil Duval, Big E, Tiffany Haddish, Taraji P. Henson, Lil Jon, Kofi Kingston, Ludacris, Joel McHale, Killer Mike, T.I. and Xavier Woods.
