The latest update on the Jennifer Hudson tragedy:
- William Balfour was denied bail today.
- A motive has emerged. Balfour had come to Julia Hudson’s workplace to warn her off dating another man. He threatened her with harm if she didn’t cut her relationship off.
- Balfour went to the house the day of the slayings to warn Julia about the relationship. He and Julia left the house together. Julia saw him walking towards his car as she drove off.
- Witnesses saw Balfoour in Jason’s SUV and placed him at the family’s home the day of the murders. His girlfriend told police he confessed and that she saw him with a gun that resembled the murder weapon.
- Balfour told detectives he was home at the time of the shootings, but cell phone records show he was in the vicinity of the Hudson home.
It appears the police don’t have much physical evidence, but the circumstantial evidence appears to be strong.
