“I think decisions have been made, let’s be honest about this.” said Nigel, “I think decisions have been made, and negotiations are taking place. And those negotiations, when you’re just dealing with ordinary people, and you say, ‘I want to take you out of everything for the next four months to do American Idol‘ that’s OK.When you’re dealing with stars who have other lives to concentrate on and you say, ‘I want to take you off the planet, and you’ll join us on planet American Idol’ for 4 months it’s really tough.”

“You’ve got to let them work everything out and of course come up with the money that they will appreciate.”

Nigel says he’s really excited to be back to the “Idol family.”  We’re pretty happy to have you back Nigel.  Now, please save the show!

According to Nigel, about 10, 000 San Francisco hopefuls were standing in line this morning waiting to audition.

  1. “Those negotiations, when you’re just dealing with ordinary people and you say ‘I want to take you out of everything for the next 4 months to do American Idol’ that’s ok. But when you’re dealing with stars who have other lives to concentrate on and you say, ‘I want to take you off the planet, and you’ll join us on planet American Idol’ for 4 months it’s really tough. What an a$$hole. Yes, its ok for us normal folk to leave our jobs, children and spouses because we have nothing better to do with our time. *eyes rolling*

  2. So-called stars that Nigel apparently admires so much are all way over-paid. Sad to think of new judges doing it only if the money is astronomical when it’s a luxurious gig. Compare four months as an AI judge to serving four months in Afghanistan, no comparison.

  3. Yeah, so all you could come up with was a 62-year old former rock star, who apparently is inarticulate and certainly not a draw for young viewers? C’mon, Nigel! Get some witty Brit in there, it doesn’t have to be a musician. Or an edgy Aussie. Anything but Tyler……..

  4. Please save the show. Please bring back two songs starting on top five week and three on top three week. Please find a way to kill this WGWG trend, but politely. And please don’t bring back “Don’t let The Sun Go Down On Me”, and please ban “Against All Odds.”

    Thank you.

  5. I wish they would just get it over with. I am pretty much neutral about Steven. Jennifer, Shania, Gloria, whomever… let’s make the announcement quickly.

  6. Nigel, Please consider Chuck Negron formerly of Three Dog Night. He is so young at heart and entertaining. He is a quick wit and has his fans rolling on the floor with laughter when we go to his concerts, watch his videos, and visit his chat room. He is still an amazing entertainer and beautiful singer. He has perfect pitch, knows a hit when her hears it, and has been in show business for 50 years.
Not only did he sing “The Show Must Go On,” he lived all kinds of experiences, knowing the show must go on. He has inspired many people to not use drugs, be positive, and be the best they can be.
You must check into Chuck Negron. He is on Facebook, YouTube, and MySpace. Thank you.
