New Year’s Eve 2024 on ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN. Who is performing and how to watch
For those of you who will be by a television tonight on New Years Eve as 2024 is ushered in, there are a bunch of choices to watch on television. Each show offers hosts, coverage in separate time zones and musical guests. It’s all about how YOU would like to be entertained on New Years Eve. Lets get started!
NYE falling on a Sunday means SNF Football on NBC instead of the network’s usual special
Right up front! We mention NBC in the heading. However, because New Years Eve falls on a Sunday, there will be NO big New Years Eve special tonight on the network. For 2022 and 2023, NBC held their own with a funky special helmed by Miley Cyrus from Miami, Florida. However, NFL Sunday Night Football comes first, foremost and ALWAYS. Maybe Miley will be back next year.

New Year’s Eve with Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen on CNN
They’re back! But will they be allowed to drink this year? Two years ago, things got a little out of hand as the on air talent, including Andy Cohen got sloppy dring and mayhem ensued. Highlight: Andy screaming at Ryan Seacrest that his NYE show is full of losers. Good Times! While viewers at home found it amusing, CNN management not so much. Last year’s special was alcohol-free much to Andy’s chagrin.
Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen will ring in 2024, along with CNN correspondents reporting from celebrations across the country. Richard Quest will report from the crowds of Times Square, Stephanie Elam from Atlantis, Paradise Island in the Bahamas, Randi Kaye from Key West, Florida, Gary Tuchman and his daughter Lindsay from Las Cruces, New Mexico, and Boris Sanchez from Miami, Florida.
The show will feature musical performances from Enrique Iglesias, Maroon 5, Jonas Brothers, Flo Rida, Miranda Lambert, Darius Rucker and Rod Stewart. Live interviews with Patti Labelle, Jeremy Renner, Neil Patrick Harris, Bowen Yang & Matt Rogers and a special appearance from David Blaine will also help ring in the new year.
The hijinks begin at 8pm ET. Sara Sidner and Cari Champion will take over the celebration at 12:30 am ET to count down as the Central Time Zone rings in the New Year from Auditorium Shores in Austin, Texas.
