Clips of all the Idol winners are incorporated into the spot. “Did You Ever Have a Dream?” the commercial asks. It finishes with an invitation to visit Americanidol.com for more details.
The spot ran during So You Think You Can Dance. After, SYTYCD host, Cat Deeley directed viewers to check out the American Idol website.
Unless I’m mistaken, I do believe a full-blown TV spot promoting the upcoming cattle-call auditions is a first? Typically, we don’t see the first TV spots until fall.
