NBC has announced it’s fall schedule ahead of the network’s Upfronts advertiser presentation in New York City Monday (May 13).
Notable: The Voice Tuesday results show will move back to 8 pm after NBC experimented with a 9 pm timeslot in the spring. No surprise–This is Us has been doing spectacularly at 9 pm on Tuesdays. No messing with that formula is necessary. However, it appears that midseason (winter 2020), NBC will once again eliminate some The Voice Tuesday episodes to make way for Ellen’s Game of Games. Also, World of Dance is moving back to summer.

Monday: The Voice returns with Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton, providing a launch spot to aspirational new legal drama Bluff City Law, starring Jimmy Smits at 10 P.M.
Tuesday: Tuesday fall lineup remains unchanged with The Voice setting the stage for # 1 drama This Is Us at 9 P.M., leading into the second season of New Amsterdam at 10 P.M.
Midseason: Features the January return of the #1 most-watched alternative series America’s Got Talent: The Champions, as well as hit Ellen’s Game of Games, both returning to their respective time slots on Mondays nights at 8 p.m. and on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. With Game of Games airing on Tuesdays next winter, it looks like NBC will eliminate some Tuesday The Voice episodes as it did this season.
Midseason Sundays: Little Big Shots, hosted by Melissa McCarthy at 8 pm followed by Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist. Both shows will likely air opposite ABC’s American Idol. The NBC press release states, “Following football season, Sundays will feature a great new line-up focused on bringing women to the night.”
World of Dance is moving back to summer: With a year-round primetime roster that is 83% originals, NBC will once again harness the power of the Olympics in Summer 2020 with a packed schedule of entertainment programming that includes the return of World of Dance alongside summer staples American Ninja Warrior and America’s Got Talent.
