NBC has announced premiere dates for its 2016-17 fall schedule, which includes the return of the #1 broadcast program, Sunday Night Football; the reality series, The Voice; new freshman drama series of This Is Us; new Monday night entry Timeless; the new Mike Schur comedy, The Good Place; second-year comedy show Superstore; and the Dick Wolf Windy City troika: Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D. and Chicago Med.
The second season of Blindspot, last year’s top new series in the 18-49 demo, kicks off NBC’s fall and begins Wednesday, Sept. 14 at 10 p.m. immediately following the season finale of the summer hit reality series, America’s Got Talent.
The The Voice season 11 begins Monday, Sept. 19 (8-10 p.m.) as new coaches Alicia Keys and Miley Cyrus join Adam Levine and Blake Shelton in the Blind Auditions. Immediately following, NBC will air back-to-back episodes of the new Mike Schur comedy The Good Place starring Kristen Bell and Ted Danson. The series will shift to its normal 8:30 p.m. Thursday timeslot three days later.
NBC shuffles Blindspot out of the Tuesday post The Voice 9 pm hour to 10 pm on Wednesday. We’ll see how that goes! NBC continues to use The Voice in its regular time slot to launch new shows.
