Monday Morning Mediabase Update: Sep 23-29

Four milestones this week – including welcoming two acts returning to the charts.

Daughtry’s “Waiting for Superman” goes for adds this week, but it’s not waiting. The debut single from their fourth album “Baptized” arrives in the top 50 on HAC.

Also returning to the charts in the top 50 is X-Factor’s Cher Lloyd. “I Wish” is the lead single from her second album. It debuts in the top 50 on Pop and both this song and Daughtry’s were 58th last week.

On the other side of the pond from Cher, is the US version of the X-Factor. Girl Band “Fifth Harmony” from the last season moves into the top 30 on Pop with “Miss Movin’ On” This is not only their debut single for their upcoming EP, it’s their first official single ever.

Finally, in this debut-palooza, the debut and title track from Mandisa’s latest album “Overcomer” is parked firmly on top of the CAC chart for a second week (and the competition is so far away, she could be there for a while yet to come).
