Three milestones this week – and two of them are Idol number ones.
First up, the new number 1. Mandisa finished 9th on the 5th Season of American Idol and has built a very successful career in Christian Music. She regularily rings the bell at the top of the CAC chart and this latest release is no different. “Overcomer” is the debut single and title track from her latest album and it went number one on CAC this week. Idol gets your leg in the door, see how far you can get your entire body in.
The next number one is a continuing one from the Season 11 winner, Phillip Phillips. His second single has parked itself at the top of the AC chart for four Mondays in a row (5 Sunday/Published). How long can he rule the top of that chart? Let’s just watch.
Over on the UAC front, Fantasia is making waves with Joe. “Love & Sex” has climbed into the top 20 in that format (while her “With Me” is still in the top 10).
Meanwhile, Scotty has returned to the top 40 with “See You Tonight” which has also regained its bullet.
