Monday Morning Mediabase Update: Oct 7-13

Just like last week, there are three milestones from the Idols. All from the ladies. Brought to you by the number 4.

Season 3 winner, Fantasia, moves into the top 5 on UAC with “Without Me”. This is the second single from her fourth studio album. The song features X-Factor judge, Kelly Rowland.

From Season 5 of Idol (and winner of Dancing With the Stars), Kellie Pickler is working on getting her fourth studio album out with her new label. “Little Bit Gypsy” is the second single from that album and it moved into the top 50 on Country this week.

Finally, her Season-mate Mandisa is kicking all kinds of butt over on CAC. This is her fourth week topping that chart with the debut/title single from her fourth studio album “Overcomer”. Nobody is anywhere close to her on that chart.

Also of note is that Phil Phillips (winner of Season 11), moved back into the top 20 again on AAA with his third single “Were We Came From”. It first achieved top 20 about a month ago.

Happy Thanksgiving to all our Canadian Readers (who probably ate the turkey last night because that is how we roll). And to all our American Readers, Happy Columbus Day! I’m not sure what one does to celebrate that, but I suspect there are some great sales.
