Monday Morning Mediabase Update: Oct 24-30

Halloween is not a scary day for our stars on the air – they achieve 7 new milestones on the radio this morning.

Carrie Underwood starts us out by going top 15 on Country. She has become one of the bankable stars in Country and it is no surprise that “Dirty Laundry”, the fourth single from her fifth studio album “Storyteller”, is having success.

Also joining the top 15 crowd today is Season 8 third place finisher, Danny Gokey. His “Rise” (debut single from a TBA album) has risen into the top 15 on CAC. He’s been there before. So, let’s see how far this one can go. His last single was blocked from becoming number one in the format by a rather persistent single by Lauren Daigle.

Speaking of whom, Lauren Daigle racks up another milestone. Her “Road Less Traveled” is chasing Danny’s “Rise” as it moves into the top 20 on CAC.

Rounding out our Idols this week is season 14 winner Nick Fradiani. His “All on You” moves into the top 30 on HAC. The song is also on the verge of going top 30 on Pop.

Switching gears to The Voice and there is good news there too. RaeLynn may not have won the show, but she’s setting down the building stones for a career in Country. RaeLynn’s “Love Triangle” tells a story and the story it is telling this week reached top 40 on Country.

Finally, we hop across the water to Ireland from whence X-Factorer and One Directioner Niall Horan hails. Niall’s debut solo single “This Town” doubles down on the milestones this week. It goes top 20 on Pop and top 40 on HAC.

Pentatonix from The Sing Off debuts their new album at 3rd on the BB200. The song also starts at the top of the Holiday Albums chart which started running again this week. Lady Gaga has her fourth number one album.
